I'm very surprised this didn't do better. It probably lacks the 'wow' factor people might be looking for after voting on 150 landscape submissions, but this photograph really has character. I think it would also look good with the levels pulled up to very bright, bold colors, but your choice of effect is also very effective. Great job.

A lovely image, it makes me want caffeine now! I like the way the (soy) milk lands and mixes in with the coffee. I doubt very many DPC members would know it as a typo -- especially since you haven't provided the correct spelling...
I'd suggest trying to this in duotone mode, as I find that adds a real sense of depth and detail to photos like this.
