I like the high key... maybe a bit soft, but it's consistent throughout so it doesn't detract, IMO. |

The out-of-place heron parallels the poses of the phonelookers, I think it’s the awkward armlessness of it… and mirrors the beaks of the beach chairs… and of course those blurry shapes in the distance, an abstracter simulacrum. |

Just One of the Familyby vawendyComment by Neil: Commenting only: I find this a pretty humorous juxtoposition. Well seen and caught. Overall it works pretty well, though I think I might like it better if the girl were looking at the bird, and perhaps with a bit better fidelity. |
