I simply love your cat and mouse stories Wendy. I have two comments if I may be so bold to express them to you:
- Moriarty needs just a wee more light
- The rolling pin is too much of a distraction. I'd keep onions and egg shells only on the beautifully floured table
- keep the story simple

a great example of people having a superficial understanding of a word.

A word is not a pointer to a thing. A word is a constellation of denotations, connotations, and histories. In this case, the voters were probably thinking only of a narrow genre of photography.

(or maybe it's just their usual hatred of blur and noise but it was a good opportunity for me to point-ificate)
