Hey how long did you have to wait before the bird landed on that superglue lol.

My first reaction is that I'm not sure where to look in that we have a close up shot in which the subject matter is distributed throughout the image.

Personally I think it would work better with just the bird and the first apple or a different viewpoint to create a bit more negative space, but that is just my personal preference.

It's also a little unfortunate that the colour of the bird blends a little with the background but hey it's a wild animal eh and you have no control over it.

Overall it meets the challenge very well and you have also introduced an interesting element in the form of the bird.
The subject focus is good and the DOF removes dstraction that the background may otherwise have caused. It's a 6 from me.

A very cute take on the challenge. The lighting on the apples themselves is a bit harsh, but this is hard to control with a candid shot like this. I think the main issue that many voters will have is the crop. It is very tight in the vertical direction, and this really limits the appeal due to small image size. I can understand why you wanted to keep the left most apple in view because it is the least blown. The crop does focus our attention on the subject - but an alternate crop with just the three 'apples' the two and the bird may have allowed you to expand the size of the image a bit. In addition, you might have been able to adjust the exposure a bit (even in post processing) to reduce the shine on the two centered apples. Gave it a 6.
