nice sun rise shot. I would have been tempted to crop out some of the sand at the bottom as its not too interesting well besides your footprints :) Maybe try getting closer to the tree. When you darken your sky you need to try to get as close to the tree as you can otherwise you get that halo effect, try using a soft brush in photoshop or a mask.
