I like the hazy shade of winter aspect. I think one of few who actually had the hazy part in the photo. I'm not a big fan of the composition. I think the tree and the dead foliage below it is distracting from the photo rather than helping it.

I enjoy the background as well as the clarity of line on the feathers. However it appears he is a bit out of focus or that it drops off rather quickly. I would have hoped for a sharper more clear view of the whole bird and not just the tips of the wings.

A tableau of winter Christmas fun just outside the window, and a silent figure inside sharing it - but not. We see an older person but from the back so we really cannot tell the expression - is it amusement? longing? the tension of waiting? This candid portrait is superb in that it gives no definitive answers except for what each watcher of the photograph interprets and brings into it. I like the view - and the backwards wreath and perfect house across the street add to this as do the muted plaid curtains which echo the person's lighting. Such stories to be told!
