Playing Yo_Spiff's bingo game, since I think this will garner a 5.3.

I think some people will completely miss the person standing in the shadows and think it's a candid of the people outside.

Not enough light on the inside person.

perspective problems

too dark or too light -- don't know which, because I'm editing this on my husband's laptop, and it's either too dark or too light depending on what angle I have the screen.

Some might think candids should be of a person's front or face.

A tableau of winter Christmas fun just outside the window, and a silent figure inside sharing it - but not. We see an older person but from the back so we really cannot tell the expression - is it amusement? longing? the tension of waiting? This candid portrait is superb in that it gives no definitive answers except for what each watcher of the photograph interprets and brings into it. I like the view - and the backwards wreath and perfect house across the street add to this as do the muted plaid curtains which echo the person's lighting. Such stories to be told!

Very nice shot.
Could be a Christmas card cover.
Exposure is perfect.
