Reminds me of a story... our family dog, half black lab, half collie, named Jasper, was sitting out front crunching away on something... went out to investigate... it was a box turtle, poor thing. Probably had one heck of a headache, but his shell had done the job and he was fine.

Another time the dog came home and my sister was berating him horribly and she was crying... seems he'd brought home a baby bunny. But upon further inspection, baby bunny was not only not dead, it was perfectly unharmed. Not a bite mark on it, though perhaps a bit of saliva. Even better, we knew where he was from and took him back.

Pets...

Anyway, thanks for the memories!! That dog has been gone for over 30 years, and I still remember him very fondly.
