Total nitpicking here- there's something odd about the left side of the frame and a portion of the bottom of the frame. The tone is different for some reason.

Nice attention to details of the story - the elements of the brick wall behind the cat, the gallows emblazed on the chest, and the one eye all allude to Poe's work. The biggest critique I have is that 'something' is not quite right about the one eye aspect of the cat (and yes the composition does creep me out for the violence done to the cat and the lady in the story is unnerving). I guess it is because the plucked eye area looks flat....like the fur has grown over it.

This is great! I like the soft focus and all the red color! I am on the fence with the dress color. (I take it this shot was staged and not happened upon.) I think it is somewhat neutral and could stand to be a complementary color for added pop! And give that gal a sweater... it's fall out there ya know!!! lol.

Great negative space. I am not usually a fan of bird shot, they seem cold and lizard-like; but your take on a swan shot, or the golden ratio, has drawn me in.
