Cautionby GeneralEComment by pineapple: Nice silhouette. The gilded tarmac enhances the image too. My only wish would be to get rid of those trucks or houses or.. on the horizon line - but that was out of your control ;-) |

Cautionby GeneralEComment by msdoubletrouble: must be one hot tree to warrant 'caution' ;-) lol I do like the texture in the pavement and definetly think you did a good job getting "caution" wording to show on tape. tree lacks interest for me...the caution tape and the pavement grab my attention more than the tree or the trailers behind...gl in challenge:-) 5 |

Cautionby GeneralEComment by KaDi: Clever idea but the dominance of the flare of the sun make this image more about the sun than the tree. |

Cookies 'N' Milkby GeneralEComment by livitup: Great use of DOF. A lot of similar entries have stupid backgrounds, like the kitchen table or something, but your use of macro and DOF eliminates that problem. Great lighting too! |

Cookies 'N' Milkby GeneralEComment by xianart: well done - very nice depth of field. i find the top left background a little distracting, though. i want a cookie now! |

Decorative Masonryby GeneralEComment by Plachoochi: I like your choice of subject but believe that a different angle would have made a more dramatic photo. I feel like I am missing a lot with this photo. |

Stan & Ollieby GeneralEComment by levyj413: I voted this a 6. I was about to hit 5, meaning to me "decent shot, focused, some thought clearly went into it, but not a stunner" when I read the title.
Now, I don't usually like the title to tell the story, but when I looked back up it was just so perfect I laughed. Not LOL laughed, but literally out loud. And that was worth another point. :)
That said, I agree with some of the commenters about missing the ground and the light at the bottom. |

Stan & Ollieby GeneralEComment by Jason_Cross: I gave it a 5 and here is why. The light at the bottom drew my eye right away. Then the main tower was crooked slightly and I felt it would have been nicer if that would have been strait since to me it was the main subject. The clouds around the tower also were not in the ideal position. They didn't add depth but detracted from the detail of the tower in my humble and non-expert opinion. |
