Thanks for your comments. This one is pretty cool too--I like the yellow tuft of fur on his back. If only there was a little more light on its side, so you could see more detail in the black hairs. The wing and legs look great, though!

At first I was thinking you meant crop as in crop factor of the sensor (you know, the whole using a P&S camera bit?). :-) For the actual subject I think you took this shot at one of the best angles you could probably get from the road. Nice catch!

The text on the end really grabs my attention first and foremost. Had you not mentioned the ice around the vent I may have missed it. That part is hard to capture in a creative manner without really getting close (IMO). I do like the way the lighting works on this for you...keeping the side in shade allowing the end to stand out.
