Cast Iron & French Roastby GeneralEComment by dacrazyrn: I am not sure what to make of this. Maybe a touch more light to be able to make out what it actually is. To me it looks like a small bit of light through a very dirty window onto a floor with dirt on it |

Dreaming of a Sapphire Seaby GeneralEComment by dsidwell: I like this a lot. I enjoy more impressionistic shots, and this one does its job nicely. I agree with Jason about the gray on the bottom: you may have kept it to "ground" the bottom of the photo, perhaps? It isn't needed. Nice work, as usual! |

Dreaming of a Sapphire Seaby GeneralEComment by JPR: Hey generalE. I like it. It's not something to submit to a challenge on here, as you know, but it has some artistic appeal. This was done with curves, yes? It's very juicy. I think it would look better as a larger print though, as some detail is lost in the small size. The only thing that bothers me about it is the gray at the bottom, and esp. that little blob at the bottom left. I might just crop the bottom off or make that a solid black area. Hey, Oakland huh. I'm in San Jose for the summer. What's good to see out here? |

Cast Iron & French Roastby GeneralEComment by dsidwell: This makes a unique abstract, but enough is in detail that I want to know exactly what's going on. I'm not sure how I should feel about burnt food bits left in a pan. To me, it's not quite interesting in and of itself, yet no real story is suggested by either the photo or its title. |

The Lady In Redby GeneralEComment by kiwiness: At the first glance I thought she was showing you the birdie :-) The shadow in the lower left hand corner is a little bothersome. |

Sunspotby GeneralEComment by GeneralE: Here's a link to the original from which I created my entry. The off-center subject is the dark spot on the projected image of the sun, just like the title says ....

The Lady In Redby GeneralEComment by hawkida: Very distracting shadow at the bottom of the image that could have been cropped out. Quite harsh lighting. Not bad overall, though. |
