Obvious Un-(a)peeling Bananaby GeneralEComment by kiwiness: Now that looks like an old banana :-) Personally I would have used a different background, something without a pattern on it. Also the crop is far too tight, I would have at least included all of the banana on the left hand side. |

Antacid Aftermathby GeneralEComment by TooCool: Not terribly interesting to look at. I do like the shadow and highlights in the 'L478' on the center top tablet and would probably tried to arrange it so you saw more of them with different lighting angles depending on location in pile! Good dof, but a touch noisy in the red of the plate (intentional?). |

Antacid Aftermathby GeneralEComment by RickDN: Didn't follow guidelines unless you have the recipe. But you get a 5 just because it's pretty good image quality |

Federal Buildingsby GeneralEComment by faidoi: I like your entry version a lot. It gives it an almost comic book feel to the shot with the colorful buildings on the right. The bright yellow line leads your eyes to the background buildings. The Fed. buildings really stand out from the background. I gave you a "7" |

Old Condenserby GeneralEComment by jmsetzler: This photo doesn't hold much 'subjective' interest for me. It lacks a lot of elements that seem to be required to have a strong photo. Some of those elements are emotion, color, contrast, interesting light, and the list goes on. All of these elements are not required all the time, but some of them should create the strength in your image :) |

Obvious Un-(a)peeling Bananaby GeneralEComment by Neuferland: BANANA BREAD Banana! Or Banana Cake so it's not to Un (a) peeling, hehehe! ;)
I like the idea you have here and going to black and white did not hurt this shot but the cropping is just off to me. If you had been able to keep the top of the banana in the shot and not cut off that would raise my score and a bit more sharpness on the overall shot. Starting with a 7 on this one. |

Pandering to the Female Voteby GeneralEComment by ursula: I hadn't seen your answer until today. I've been to the San Francisco area only once (my uncle used to work for SLAC so I stayed with him for a week or so mainly to visit with my grandmother, who was staying at a retirement home in Palo Alto; she died shortly thereafter***), and I LOVED it! There are only a couple places in the States that I really liked and San Francisco is one of them (I also really like San Diego, Albuquerque, Moab, and anywhere in Wyoming).
Did I mention that I worked for the Jerry Brown campaign in 1992 right after becoming a US citizen? That's how I learned about the American political system :) Now in December I'm applying for Canadian citizenship.
