Comment by Leo:
Great night shot. Great details of the job site. I'm guessing a relatively quick shutter speed (1/15 to 1/60?) since the workman seems to be walking but not really blurred. Did the flood lights provide enough light for moderately low ISO setting? No noise to speak of (that I can tell). I like the shot for the subject and for the technical aspect. I'm curious to know the details on the settings for this shot... Well done. Should be a ribbon.

Comment by Teafran:
The sense of "moment" is present in this image and the obvious character being captured carries some visual impact. Technically, it's a very well composed image which is a plus. From an artistic standpoint, it lacks impact. A worthy entry into the challenge just lacking that something special to make it stand out.

Group shot...not really a 'candid' IMO. Nothing to really focus on (and not much here that's not blurry).

Very interesting shot, wonderful use of focus to bring out your subject, I think this is unique and technically excellent.

I think a slightly deeper DOF would make this great concept a bit more effective.

Comment by Teafran:
A great concept and very nicely executed. Unfortunately, the sky also hurts this image in a similar fashion to an earlier entry. It would have been vastly improved by bringing out the details in the sky to balance the image more effectively. Again, an image that could have gone horribly wrong, it's almost at the break point between being brilliant and merely above average. A little more use of the zone system would have improved this tremendously. As it is, a very worthy entry into the challenge with top twenty potential.

It's a nice shot, but with the brightness of the photo you've lost some of the details in the clouds, adjusting the exposure. JMO
