I'm going to be contrary and say I like the roof as a background quite a bit, but not the house below (not enough contrast and too many other details). So I might just crop differently, or shoot from a slightly lower angle.

I see that this was shot a few years ago. It looks like a tropical depression was in the Gulf when you took it, so I looked up the date, and sure enough, T S Enrique was in the area. The particular wave pattern, and the low "scud" clouds in the sky are a strong indication that a storm is offshore. I hope that it didn't ruin your trip.
The photo is cool too. The light is just about right to have the feel of the actual scene. I can almost hear the surf.
