The camel is great, the way he's looking at you makes it. It would be better if instead of a tree with lush foliage in the background there was dirt, or dessert. It would give the illusion of a long trek which I think would be cool. obviously a camel probably isn't something that can be reshot. but I think it would be better even if you just cropped out the man entirely. The camels face is the star, the rest is just distraction. I mean that in the nicest way. The camel is fantastic.

Good photo. The reason this didn't score well probably has to do with the technicals. DPC loves perfect technicals. The actual subject and composition are terrific in my opinion. Too bad people can't look beyond the mechanical stuff.
