Day 9 - Fountainby BAMartinComment by cgino: You've got cool fountains in Phoenix :-) I love the perspective on this shot, and the cool running water over the hot terra cotta (or whatever the thing is made of)! Makes me wonder just what kind of animal this is supposed to be... so I choose a cat |

Day 9 - Fountainby BAMartinComment by rachelellen: I like how you composed this, with the water "moving" toward the bottom right. The off-centeredness of it is pleasing.
Isn't that a nice thing about these side challenges? They really do make us look at things differently. The first one I did was 30 days of self-portraits back in April of 2006 and it was literally a life-changing experience for me. |

Small Town Pulseby BAMartinComment by noraneko: Barbara - I really love this - I was one of your 7's teetering on an 8. In fact, the only thing that kept me from scoring just a tad higher was that I find the fluorescent lights in the back right to distract from the beautiful line of chairs and old timer. With just a touch of burning in that area I think you'd have something even more stunning - and it's gorgeous as it is. |

Day 8 - Our Lady of Perpetual Baseballby BAMartinComment by suiteness: nice! and with carl's jr in the BG... sweet. i think it is a very initersting subject for dichotomy! i would suggest tilting the image a bit - use the pole as a guide. ohhhh, but then you might lose carl's jr. :( |

Day 8 - Our Lady of Perpetual Baseballby BAMartinComment by OmanOtter: The title made me laugh. Have you ever heard of "Touchdown Jesus" at University of Notre Dame? It's a big mural depiction of Jesus with His arms raised silimilar to a ref signaling a touchdown. It's on the outside wall of the Notre Dame library. I'm told it's visible from the football stadium, but am not sure. Message edited by author 2007-07-08 22:31:30. |
