I have a leather mask that is sort of similar - I will photograph it so you can see. I'm wondering if it's by the same artist - Gilbert... last name... last name... isn't coming to me. I was just talking about him yesterday.

Wow! What a fun looking place to photograph and explore. It looks in a way like a ghost town and antique scrap yard all at one time. The place should be a museum of some kind. I like the colors of the vehicles and vegetation with the rusty topped buildings. This would be an awesome place to experiment with painting with light at night.

Wow, what a great "ugly guy." I like your story. Reminds me of how I once bought a really cool Picasso sketch (copy, of course) at a chuch rummage sale. There were two, and I only had enough money for one. I think it only cost $15, but I only had $20. Anywy, that was years ago, and I still sometimes wish I had made the effort and bought them both.
