The sun's afroby prperoldComment by kaiser_chief: Great Title, Good image. I like the effect of the long exposures on the water, the almost mystic feel that it goves the overall photo as a result. Composition is very centered, and the front rocks seem to lead somewhere. Could an off center sun, and more room to the right have worked? Just a thought. A great image and great colours through it as well.......... |

about the re-edit. In order to make a fair election , post it at 640px and confirm it is also edited under basic editing rules. send a pm when it's done (I mean in case you decide to do it). |
OK. Although the re-edit version has more realistic hues, I like the color palette of the one you entered better. It gives a more mysterious look and I think that goes better with the object of the technic you used. That said, I think the wow factor of the one you entered is better. |
Thanks for the feedback. Appreciated. |

Edit: Forgot to mention that when I said "realistic" I was thinking of sunlight, but you are creating artificial darkness here so I like the darkness and consistent cooler tones of the first one better. Message edited by author 2009-10-01 15:01:58. |

The Blanket (re-edit)by prperoldComment by Prism: At first glance, I would have said this one would have rated higher. Then I realized that this one is actually bigger which also helps to see the mountain detail better. It would be easier to compare the two if they were the same size. Either way, an absolutely gorgeous shot. Well done!
Edit to add: With them now both the same size, I actually like the other one better. But then, I am partial to blue tones... :) The other version has a more mysterious, ethereal quality to it. Message edited by author 2009-10-08 10:36:52. |
