Ferris wheelby SEGComment by Bebe: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sure you're regretting the title so I won't hammer on that. I see for the challenge: rule of thirds, blur, long exposure. Well done on using 3 techniques. Even so, I think the image is nice but doesn't move me in any way emotionally, so a 6 from me. |

Ferris wheelby SEGComment by KarenNfld: What three techniques are you using? It's really hard to judge your photo if I don't know what I am judging, sorry. |

Ferris wheelby SEGComment by Deen: I am the other one who didn't list 3 techniques in title. Welcome to the DNMC Club. (sigh~) |

non-serious-streetby SEGComment by bvy: I'm not much for doctoring photos -- adding blur, for instance. But you did a good job of it, and I probably wouldn't have figured it out had you not told us. The shot also brings back some good memories, as I lived all around down there as a teen(Lafitte, Livingston Parish, etc.). Message edited by author 2009-10-25 14:31:38. |

non-serious-streetby SEGComment by Iraklis: Not sure if I am 'qualified' to give pointers on the use of the blur as I don't really use it.
I quite like this shot and the way it is composed. The cracklin at the forefront, with this man who has a strong and solitary presence controlling it and the peeps way in the back who seem to waiting for their chow. It seems like the subjects get progressively more out of focus which is cool. I was wondering what it would be like if the man was even more out of focus...
