Yakima Clipper

I knew the designer and builder of the Yakima Clipper, Charlie McAlister, and his airplane from the time I was 10 years old until he died about 1992, in Yakima, WA. The Yakima Clipper is now hanging in the Seattle Museum of Flight at Boeing Field, courtesy of the McAlister Museum of Flight in Yakima, WA. The aircraft in this photo is not the Yakima Clipper, which is a mahogany fuselaged sailplane with yellow vertical stabilizer and wings.

I like this one. Because of the poles sticking out of the wall on top, it gives me the very strange feeling of a from-the-top angle, with the door being suspended over the ground :)

Love this gate. I think the photo could be dark in places, more contrast. I also think the photo would benefit from cropping everything below the step. Still I like it.
