Very different, I always like "different" when I think it is still an interpretation of the theme, which in this case I think it is. I like this. Also the lines to bring out more detail in the skull is really well done (not sure if you drew those or if it was made with something like Rodilius. One of my negatives is the white in the flower/smoke. It keeps detracting the eye. Perhaps it would have been better to "color" that part.

I really like this one. Perfect sharp, DOF and perspective. Is the church perhaps a tiny bit too light on the wall facing the viewer? Not sure! Regardless, great image! Best of luck in the challenge :)

Great capture of this gentleman taking a seat and contemplating his surroundings. The lighting and B&W tones are wonderful. I think that this contemplative portrait of this man would be even more stronger if the main subject was fully in the frame from head to toe in an vertical frame. The horizontal crop has a little too much negative space. A vertical composition could still have some the street surroundings but would bring us a bit more closer to the main subject and maybe perhaps show the audience there might be something more about this man (i.e. a bag at his feet, a suitcase, a dog, etc.)

Six years since his wife had passed and with most of his friends gone or moved away Brian thought about taking that sea voyage at long last
