Fabulous capture of light as it bathes the slope of the mountain and the trees & valley below. I have two critiques/suggestions that could improve the photo. First, there seems to be a bit of noise in the photo (looking at the shadow regions of the mountain the yellows and greens have some faint red noise) - a good denoise program can clean it up and give it a crisp, clean look. Second suggestion is shooting with a smaller aperture will increase the depth of field so that both your foreground and background will have nice sharp details. Would be nice if those trees had some nice sharp details to them.

The border seems pink to me... and draws me away from the image... especially a BW one in a BW challenge.

I do like the image though... and the composition.
