I like the pic...kindof like indiana jones or something. I think I would have focused on the knife and left everything else blurry. I believe it would still meet the challenge and be more powerful

Meets the challenge; the subject (both guy and knife) are out of focus. Image has a compelling story. However, something about this pic seems "off". Can't quite put my finger on it but the "sharpness" of the guys face/beard(?) seems odd. Still a good challenge entry.

Good effort. Unfortunate and distracting to have the sunlight coming in blown out in many areas. It was a good experiment. I see some translucent glow, but would have liked to see more of that kind of light.
