Her face looks puzzled and slightly frightened - she is lost but her common sense tells her she isn't - the light in front of her feet suggest a staircase and her gaze suggests to me that she is trying to make up her mind as to whether she should go down the steps or ....... I don't know - the textures and patterns in her clothes fascinate me .. almost look like fishnet stockings but too thick ..her gloves and hat tell me it's chilly where she is but the thinness of her outer clothes suggest that fashion means more than comfort - I hope the cup in her hand is warm. I love your title - as a child I always wanted to crawl into the inner part of the kaleidoscope and tumble around in the riot of colors - So many things to enjoy in this shot - thank you.

OH I love these kind of photos - they challenge my brain to make sense of what I am seeing - It's like taking off your glasses and squinting - what is the fascination of b&w? I love it and hated when they colorized the old films .. IN this shot the round dots start at the bottom - grow less defined and then stronger at the top ..there are people in it but I have no sense of what they are doing - how wonderful that I can create a story as to what this slice of like would look like if it were in focus ..I love these types of photos - thanks for posting.

Lovely. Wonderful composition with each of them placed as if they might be looking at each other or talking to each other, but both having their attention engaged elsewhere. Love the details on the glasses, the jacket hood, and the bag.

ETA: Knowing what wonderful candid shots you have shot in the past I'm curious about whether this was a candid shot or not ... Thanks
