Shoe Shineby PennyStreetComment by PaulFrocchi: another of my top picks this round. I think you did your job on this one. I find myself uncomfortable from him sitting in the gutter working, to the patron having to stand...to the woman watching, like she'd watch a street performer.

Maybe, Maybe Not.by PennyStreetComment by streetpigeon: An offhand glance as he turns to the camera while appearing turned inward. It seems like a moment on a difficult trek. The scratchiness adds to the documentary feel and the sense that this isn't a recent instance. Could be 1936. He seems reluctant to come forward out of the brilliant background. Affecting image. |
