I see what you're trying to do here. I like the sharp focus on the bride's maid. I like the saturation of the girl and the flowers and the desaturation of the weding party. Showing her from behind (through her eyes, sort of) creates immediacy to the girl's lonliness and perhaps, envy. I like all of that, but background is a bit too dark. It's out of focus, I'm sure with intentional choice of DOF. You might try other choices of desaturation... saturate the bride and groom and desaturate all else, for example. Desaturate all but the flowers and the bride and groom, for example. You get the idea. I'm not very good at this, yet, so these are just personal opinions. Keep shooting, it's a great idea for a photo and the idea is the hardest part.

Very nice...you should have tinted her green though, ha, ha! Nice to see a wedding shot without schmaltz. Looks like a grigrigirl??

Fantastic composition, all the eyes on someone else while the she looks on. Great use of DOF to immediately draw the eyes to her and the flowers (signifying she's next maybe?). One of the best of the challenge (and there's a lot of great pics in this challenge!).

Wonder what kind of emotion would have come from reversing the coloration.

Good processing of the light, colors and contrasts. The effect is quite appealing.

I was asked to do a wedding last week, but I refused. I am realy to scared to mess things up. This would have been a good inspiration.
I realy like the use of selective desaturation in this photo.

I think you could have composed this better, you have all this space on the right and topside that is unused and also that her facial expression isn´t partially in sight it looses some impact. Anyway, good shot though, I would have been proud to have taken it myself.

Very cool, but cropping some off the right might have focused attention better.

I am glad to see you back around! I love this shot; surprised it didn't rank higher...but there were some pretty outstanding competitors in this one. :o)
