The road aheadby PaulComment by roz: LOVE THIS . !!!!! ..
what a brilliant take on the challenge .. the oof road going off into the distance .. and the guy in focus who i'm assuming is driving the bus .. the rain splattered windscreen where the wipers have left their mark ..
just fantastic .. i really hope this wins .. it's totally out of the box .. and marvelous .. :) |

Rise up by PaulComment by mariuca: Truth is I forgot not only to vote but even look at this challenge. It never happened to me before to forget both things. I am sorry because I would have given it the rightful 10.
A great combination between Serat and Puvis de Chavanne and in the end totally yours, ageless
A favorite. (People seemed to have forgotten the game of favorite picture / favorite photographer) |

Winter to rememberby PaulComment by Paul: Sure. I think it̢۪s a better image and indeed I already tried that when you suggested it and preferred it as an image. It didn̢۪t have the gloom of the lived experience; but I do prefer the version you suggest. Message edited by author 2021-01-21 08:10:52. |

I'm confident the white balance was correct here. This was the observed coloration of the scene. It's a dilemma though to 'correct' the scene or to convey the experience of being there. I have achieved the latter I think, is it a worse photograph as a result of that choice? Perhaps. |
Not the intention to start a discussion here. It is your image, your memory and your choice. But just to illustrate what I meant, I have done a quick edit and loaded a before and after, here |
