It was shot specifically for this challenge a couple of days before the deadline, so I've no idea what you are moaning about. |

A particular style by PaulComment by NikonJeb: Yah.....circles are visible. On my monitor I see two. The one goes the whole way from the side of the image to *his* left around & thru his shirt to emerge at his right wrist where it continues to the edge of the coat. The other one is strictly on his left below the other one and intersecting with it about equi-distant between him and the right side of the image. Also, on myu monitor, I see what looks like burning gradient in the upper circle.
Of course, it's a terrific image and I never would have seen them had not aliqui pointed them out.

A particular style by PaulComment by Paul: Originally posted by aliqui: I loved this at first, but then because I liked it so much, I kept looking. What's going on with the big circles? There's a couple on the background on the right side of the photo and another couple going across his right bicep/shoulder just under the coat. They're perfectly round at least in part, so they seem like something that may have been done in post? A dodge/burn brush perhaps? |
I don't see them on any of my monitors but I imagine they are related to my use of control points in Color Efex Pro. Removal control points from the detail extracted filter I'd have applied to his black top to bring that out - to control the filter effect bleed beyond his top.
This will have occurred because of the similarity in hue and luminosity between the background and the top.
Edit - I do see them on my iPad Pro screen. Message edited by author 2015-12-12 17:52:18. |
