Partial eclipse of someone’s sonby PaulComment by streetpigeon: There's so much to this almost-silhouette. First is the wonderful composition. The few graphic components are all superb. The man is deftly and intriguingly positioned. Is that green horizontal a treeline? Excellent. The shading of the lamp -- a vision in itself. The overall green-yellow tone works in such fine fashion that I can hardly imagine it being otherwise. Even the dark foreground is elegantly striped, however dimly. The title, too, is great. I'll stop here, having run out of superlatives.
I've already put forward a personal favorite, but now I'm saying there are a pair of co-favorites. |

House of Windsorby PaulComment by SaraR: There are some rather nice examples of symmetry - or equilibrium, balance at any rate - amongst the guests. Really pleasingly observed, and totally timeless. Bumping to 9 - in my top 2. |

Partial eclipse of someone’s sonby PaulComment by jim29028: Strong graphic quality , I like the limited pallette and the strong vertical and horizontal neatly divide the image, think having the lamp and man further to the right or facing the the right would have made this stronger. |

Carrick-a-Redeby PaulComment by MaryO: GAH! I'm sure the view is amazing but, no. Just, no. Quite a striking image, though. Certainly got my attention. |
