Raining Feathers

Absolutely beautiful shot and I love the lighting and the lightness of it all. I know that feathers falling don't make a sound but the image conveys to me more a feeling of softness and lightness then silence.

If the theme had been "Softness,Gentleness or Lightness" I would have given it a 9 or maybe even a 10.
Still it's very well done and comes close enough to conveying the idea of silence as well to deserve an 8.

I rather like this shot and I feel it conveys the feeling of silence very well. Has a nice detached, almost surreal sort of feeling to it as well. Not too crazy about the choice of frame for this shot. 8

Lovely capture of early morning mist rising up from the lake. I like that one can faintly discern the shapes of waterbirds"ducks?" in the background. The image conveys a nice feeling of silence and stillness too. Would have been even more striking if you had posted a version that was larger but still within the challenge boundaries. 8

Nice shot of this jetliner streaking through some impressive looking clouds. Jetliners are pretty noisy though aren't they? But I do get the feeling of silence that you are trying to convey here. The way one sees the jetliner high above in the silent sky and then sometimes very faintly you can hear the sound of the jet long after it has disappeared from sight. 5
