End of the dayby vanillabean93Comment: Superb, powerful and symbolic representation of the "END" Fits the challenge theme like a glove and is brilliantly captured. Lovely sharp detail and color throughout and excellent use of available light. I especially love the addition of the bedside lamp and the picture on the wall as they complement the image very nicely and add a feeling of completeness. |

On the Rocksby oldgrouseComment: Simple yet extremely powerful and symbolic image captured with finesse and a insightful photographic eye. Lovely rich color and tones and superlative composition. I especially love the deep shine of the gold ring and the wetness of the stones. The title's meaning also is clear and unambiguous. |

Pondering the Ocean's Endby scooter88Comment: Exceptional image of a young girl clinging to a branch surrounded by the wild swirling waters. I can feel powerful emotions radiating from this image as the young child scans the endless horizon and ponders the mysteries of the fathomless and bottomless ocean. Beautifully envisioned and executed. Fits the challenge theme very well. Sure to finish in the top 10 imo |

'Us' ends hereby CamabsComment: Poignant and yet at the same time powerful and brilliantly executed portrait. It mirrors the full range of human emotions associated when dreams are shattered and illusions are penetrated by the harsh realities of a cold and unfeeling world. The lighting has been creatively arranged and the pink heart is beautifully lit by a soft diffuse light and contrasts nicely with the dark grays and blacks. The look in his eyes reflect his pain and confusion at the events that have unfolded whilst hers show a strong and resolute look of defiance at the situation and of being in full control of her emotions and faculties and looking ahead to a new future with a lightness in her step and resolve in her spirit. |

The end is nighby ConnorComment: Absolutely fantastic and original concept. Shows creative out of the box thinking combined with top photographic abilities. The composition is superb and the lighting phenomenal. It's like the ashtray jumps right at you so vivid the detail. It has an almost 3D feeling to it. The shrouded figure at the back adds a feeling of menace and something almost sinister and gives the title a powerful message. |

ULTIMATE ENDING : Rafael Nadal, Australian Open Champion 2009by hotpastaComment: Superb...you should sell this one to a magazine. Great capture of that ultimate moment. Powerful. This is the blue ribbon winner for me. 10
Ps.I watched the match on TV. Great game. Must have been fantastic being right there. Something went badly wrong with Federer's mindset in that 5th set. Never seen the Fed break down like that and get so emotional afterwards. |
