this is going to sound technical/trite, but if you had composed this with the stem (base stem) going from one corner to the other it would have moved your flower to the rule of thirds point...it also would have taken my eye (made it flow) through the photo vs across the photo...to me that is a more compelling composition...I mean NO offense

you have great focus here...but this for some reason just does not draw me in like some of the others...it would be nice to have a gooey BG, but then you give up on the focus...
