you have the right idea here...but if you had gotten much, much closer to the curves and the brilliant colors getting a very tight focus...and cropping out all the rest of this piece you would have done very well with the scoring, this has all the elements you need for abstract...you might not have the right lens to do this??

first off I want to say this is a good photo...but a couple of things made me vote it down (you got a 5 from me) it is to centered, and for that matter I personally would have cropped the heck out of this...to give those abstract lines that blend and meld together so that the shape of the flower is obscured...anyway it is just my opinion...sorry

I wish your color tones were even..the bottom of the picture appears to be over exposed while the top of the picture is underexposed and the center is in sharp focus...you got a good thing going here just need some more perfection
