IMO I would have liked to see the front right side of the picture in the sharp focus leading to the blurred area...having said that I like what you chose as your subject...it is quite interesting

I have come back to this one several times...ok, here it is...I really think that you could/should have gotten much closer for the macro side of things...this is a great idea but I would have isolated one small area of this item and really pulled that in tight...mind you it is not a bad picture, excellent focus, great DOF and your colors are not flat...

IMO (which does not count for much) this is not macro enough for what I have in mind as being Abstract Macro...good idea...but you need to get much, much closer
