IMO I think I would have cropped out the bottom of the picture so that the clear reflections are what I focus on first...my eye first hits the bottom where it is murky then travels to the clear area...that area is much more appealing to me

I do not have a clue as to what this could be...IMO I think I would have focused on either the foreground or the background of this shot...and getting super, super close...
