It would have been better at night with the lights lit up.

I think I've seen too many "Time is Money" shots in this challenge and I'm not even half way through voting -- on the other hand, this is the best "Time is Money" shot I've seen so far. Good points: That second hand. Obviously a 7 (or 8?) second exposure. Bad points: I don't like that long shadow on the right of the watch. Perhaps if the constrast wasn't so great. Still, nice photo overall.

Nicely done. This photo looks surreal.

Love the title! Personally, I'm a member of PETA myself -- People Eating Tasty Animals.

Too bad you didn't use real dyed eggs rather than mellons. Nice idea though.

I didn't get to say much about my photo the first time around -- I was submitting against the deadline. The weather on the weekend before wasn't that special, so I didn't even go downtown to see if I could get a shot. Tuesday the weather was great, so I left work early, rode my motorcycle the 25 miles to downtown, and started shooting. I had several locations in mind, and this was the last one. I think I stood there about an hour, shooting various shots as the sun set. At about 7:30, I deemed myself done, raced home, and quickly flipped through to pick one of the 200 or so shots I had taken. By the time I finished editing it, and a few others (see the out takes in the forum discussion My Urban Landscape Out takes, I only had about 5 minutes left to choose which I really wanted to post, post it, and give the description.

This was shot with no tripod, but not hand held either. I rested the camera on a hand rail. I rode my motorcycle downtown because I knew it would be easier to park, but that excluded me bringing my tripod. I was able to bring my lenses though, but for this shot, I used the old trusty Canon EF 28-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS.

I take it these are the grid lines being talked about in the forums. The buildings themselves seem very dark. Nice angle to the shot though.

Buildings lean in a bit, but otherwise, great. I'm not sure if this can be fixed -- is perspective adjustment legal?
