Oh, poor little gnome, and poor you, too! That weather must be hard to take - hope you don't need to go out in it. I wouldn't mind just a cupful of that snow at the moment, though, coz here it is stinking hot.

That looks really cool fun. I'd love to be doing that today - it's hot, and those huge sprays look so enticing. No doubt even those spectators are getting the benefit.

Balloon Bump

Great capture, and interesting story. I'm glad nothing too serious eventuated. There was a balloon incident in Melbourne a few days ago. One was supposed to land on the beach, but dipped into the sea about 1.5 kilometers (nearly a mile) off shore. The passengers were rescued by police boat and the balloon towed to shore. A balloon ride is still something on my bucket list though.

Nice image as a whole. When I scroll down so that on the left there is just about the same amount of black above the orange as there is below, then what is left is an exquisite, blow-me-away panorama.
