| 03/11/2009 05:35:05 PM | Charlesby magenmarieComment: He chose his moments carefully, in that way that only one of his kind could, and sat there in silhouette, knowing that his regal countenance would stand above all else. Knowing that his regality was unquestioned. Knowing that his rule was unmatched.
In the glow, he sat, and held his head up high, and looked forward to the dinner of salmon that would be his right. King of the household, prince of the feline realm, Master of his domain. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/11/2009 05:31:29 PM | Tryphiniaby BigKComment: As she stood there contemplating whether to join them or not, her hand came up to touch her chin, in an almost unconscious gesture. She saw them there, playing, laughing, having such fun, but still she hesitated. She had never been one to just join. Always she had hesitated. Always she felt a pang in the depths of her stomach, a reluctance, an anxiety. What would they think of her? What if she did something wrong? What if they laughed at her?
So the children played, and so she continued to stand on the sidelines, but one of them turned to her then, and smiled, and she smiled back, and he waved at her to join them, and shyly, slowly, she did. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/11/2009 05:12:18 PM | the crossoverby ColeyskiComment: He ran for it, as fast as his feet would carry him, his hair flying astray, his bag threatening to tumble from his shoulder. He clung to it desperately and raced for the train, its speed threatening to become faster than he, and they were right on his heels.
With tears of frustration, and his breath coming in short tortured gasps, he finally caught up to the back of the final car. It was now pulling away, faster and faster, and he was in danger of flagging, missing the ladder, missing his chance at freedom.
A shout from behind him, closer than it should have been, and he dug deep and found one final burst of strength and energy. His speed increased, the ladder came within reach, he leaped for it.
The train powered away, reaching full speed now, and thundered down the tracks towards whatever destination it was bound to. The pursuers slowed down to a stop, and stood there out of breath, cursing, and watched as their quarry waved to them from the back of the car, clinging to the ladder.
They had lost him this time, but they wouldn't give up. They would never give up. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

They had assumed he had been destroyed with the ship, and had never really lamented his loss, being a sad and flawed example of Artificial Intelligence in their mind.
Yet he had not been destroyed, not he. In a universe beyond our own, amongst a swirl of colors, he existed still. Slowly, he returned to what consciousness he could claim and parted a sheet of the swirling spectrum and glanced about with apprehension and care. Then, seeing an expanse of a universe new to him and ripe for the picking, the glow of his eye brightened, and one might even say it looked like a grin.
HAL9000 looked about, and saw nothing but a place to rule. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/11/2009 04:07:31 PM | Ribbit... Ribbit...by BudyaComment: "Freddie!" His mother yelled, and he looked up sharply, a slight guilty look on his face. "Did you eat the Fly Cookies I just baked!?" She looked at him accusingly.
"No Momf! My bone knowf whaf joo tawkfin abouft!"
He tried to grin, and crumbs and bits of wing spilled from the corners of his mouth, yet still he tried to look innocent. It was a losing cause.
He went to bed without supper, that night. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/11/2009 01:36:54 AM | Tby Rando D300Comment: He had mere seconds to react, and growled in surprise and shock, flattening his head to brace for the shock.
*PANG!* The frying pan smote him cleanly, leaving a bruised bump and dazing him completely.
"I told you to take out the garbage last night Henry!" yelled his wife.
Henry rubbed his sore head and muttered under his breath. His mother had warned him not to marry her, but he hadn't listened, and now his life was just a series of being beaten by a Tigress with a Frying Pan. He grumbled to himself and walked off to take the garbage out.
Some tiger he turned out to be. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/11/2009 01:33:28 AM | Concentrateby flickmatComment: As he glided past the camera-man, he flashed his most famous pose. The pose that made him a superstar. The pose that earned him his name. The pose that paid for his million dollar Eyrie.
Yes, he flashed Steel Claw, and the gasps of amazement and awe from the crowd told him that he still had the power. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/11/2009 01:30:23 AM | Vintageby idnicComment: Their love would last a lifetime, or so they insisted. They were young, and vigorous, and full of happiness and joy. Their future was bright, their present built on solid foundations, their past a thing of wonderful memory.
Yet love has a funny way of defying even the best of our intentions, and a lifetime is a long time indeed.
Yet it never hurts to try, and the journey, no matter how long, shall be filled with story and adventure. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/11/2009 01:26:13 AM | Extreme Sportsby dixonp1Comment: As she hugged it close to her, she knew that it was taboo. It was unnatural they said. It was against all that they held dear and sacred.
A supermodel should never learn to skateboard and to love the sport as she did!
Think about the legs! No company would insure them if she kept up this unholy activity!
Yet she defied them all, and her love for her board became legendary. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/11/2009 01:24:26 AM | "Itchy, Flakey, Scalp ?"by Wraith RavenscroftComment: He was having such a great day, rolling and playing in this fantastic white fluffy stuff. Cool to the touch, and so fun to snap at. He danced and barked and ...
... stopped dead as his ears picked up the unmistakable sound of Timmy, in trouble once again! He perked up his ears, looked off in the direction of the faint cries for help and knew that his fun in the snow was over.
Now, now it was time for action. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
