| 03/17/2009 11:46:17 PM | Lord of the ringsby WindtaleComment: It had finally come to this moment, as he stood there on that peak and lifted his staff to the winds. Finally, it had come to this confrontation with the dark force that had long been threatening these lands, and he was afraid.
Afraid that his strength would not suffice. Afraid that his test here would fail. Afraid that the land would be covered in darkness should he fall.
Yes, he was afraid, but he stood tall and faced the setting sun and gathered the energies of it into himself and faced that fear. For he was the chosen, a mage of immense power and destiny, and if he did not prevail here, no one would. |
| 03/17/2009 11:43:08 PM | Morningby Shadowi6Comment: She awoke that morning, and looked around, stunned, but not entirely unsurprised. She had known for some time that something wasn't entirely right with the house that she had bought. Something was strange there. The noises she heard, the things she had glimpsed out of the corner of her eye.
Yes, something wasn't entirely right, but it hadn't felt entirely wrong either. So when she woke, and found herself sitting up to the touch of a fresh and fragrant breeze, in the middle of an open field, it didn't entirely surprise her, and she somehow knew that she wasn't in New York anymore. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/17/2009 11:37:36 PM | Lallibella Priestby bennewComment: On a lazy afternoon, as the sun rode its highest point in the sky, and the dust rolled lazily in a gentle breeze, the quiet of the temple was suddenly shattered by a lone man, running in from the desert lands beyond. Shouting the whole way, but paying no attention to the monks that sat about, he ran straight for the inner sanctum, to the High Elder within.
"I found it! I found it!" he was shouting, and all were suddenly interested. What had he found? What was it that was so important? So Precious?
He ran up to the elder, and held out a cloth-wrapped package to him, and with a calm serenity the elder took it from him, and began to remove the layers of cloth. As he did, it began to steam and a scent wafted out that was familiar to all, and the Elder grinned mightily.
For it was the precious Falafel Pita Wrap, and he was very hungry.
The Elder was pleased. |
| 03/17/2009 11:31:51 PM | lightelvesby AmasonComment: When the darkness threatened to take over their very world, two young princesses found themselves in a fight to save their people.

| 03/17/2009 11:29:23 PM | Eyes on Eweby rseeleyComment: She sighed and smacked her head. Why was this her lot in life? Why had she been born the only girl into a family of five siblings? Why did her brothers have to be so damned goofy?
She lifted the camera once more, and desperately pleaded with them to just give her one, ONE shot that she could send to their parents for their birthday. She pleaded with them to just settle down for ONE MEASLY SHOT.
And, to her surprise, they seemed to capitulate. They settled down. They gave her wonderful smiles, and she shouted with joy and lifted the camera and...
... she hated her brothers. |
| 03/17/2009 11:25:28 PM | Pristine Blueby cup4tmlComment: Bob smacked his forehead, and wished he could turn back time. Never, in his life, had he seen a worse bartender. Never, in his wildest dreams, could he have imagined such an incompetent person existed.
Yet here he was, in front of him, serving up the most impossibly stupid drinks while a bar full of people looked on in utter amazement at what they saw before them, and when someone ordered a Club Soda and Gin, and the idiot threw a full, unopened can into a pitcher full of premium Bombay Sapphire, it was simply the last straw. |
| 03/17/2009 11:21:14 PM | no water neededby RaleighComment: In the wilds of California, they spoke about him in hushed and awed whispers. Criminals would cower in fear at his name, and people would cheer if ever he was spotted.
As the wind blew, and the sun beat down upon that sandy beach, another call of distress went up. A woman was being assaulted by a rowdy bunch of surfers! Would nobody help? Who would step up to help her?!
Then, like a bolt of lightning from the clear blue sky he came, leaping from the grasses and flying through the air. Was it he? They cried.
Yes! With his famous call he came out of nowhere to another poor soul's rescue. Steve, The California Boarder, flew into the scene and fought off the surfers that dared sully his precious beach. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
