Self Portraitby tbphoto13Comment: For me, this image is about a bunch of things lacking. The lighting is overly even, the bg is distracting (mostly because it is in the same tonal range as the rest of the image), and there is virtually no expression on the face. Although it is sharp, well-cropped, and yes, a portrait, it doesn't say anything to me. |

Edge of Darknessby glad2badadComment: I'm always torn about this type of lighting. I really like the drama of it, but in this case, I wish there was even an inkling of detail in the dark. I really do love the opposing gradient in the bg. |
