I think the issues with this image have been well-covered by other commenters. David nailed it, imo, as this is just a documentarian type of image showing that you've been here. If you wanted imposing grandeur, you should have gotten down lower, shot from an angle, something. I'm far more intrigued by that castle thing on the hill, with those tiny people climbing towards it than what is in the foreground...

On the weather note, a lot of folks hate overcast days for photography. I love them, because it gives me a blank slate to decide what to highlight and emphasize, rather than letting nature decide for me. It takes a bit of creativity, but if you want an example, send me the original :)
