Blue vase with rose and shadowby dbeauComment: I LOVE this! Excellent colors, love the stars in the nubs, the shadow is so very prominent. Great work. To be nitpicky, the lighting is just a bit overblown on either side. But really, the only thing keeping me for giving it a 10 is the proportion. The elongated shadow above the vase gives it an odd vertical dimension to my (newbie) eyes which is unpleasant. |

Candleby davidwComment: This shot is for me equal parts light and shadow, instead of just Shadow. And the "shadow" is more of a reflection. Beautiful shapes and movement, but doesn't quite fit the challenge for me. |

one earth ... same shadows ...by dl_maggiComment: GREAT concept. But the map doesn't work; it's too sketchy and blurred. And the light is too blown out, making the glare from the white background drown out the color of the pins. I think you missed an opportunity by placing the pin on our global "hot spots". |

Contrastby GabrielComment: Sorry, this isn't working for me. There is way too much contrast, so the delicate lines on the facade - which would make for great detail - are hard to see. Also, I don't feel it shows much of a "shadow", even though there are areas of darkness. |

quartzby treyvusComment: Very interesting "specimen", but I feel that IT is the subject of this shot, and the shadow is incidental. |

Legally Blindby BlackboxComment: Thought this shot has really nice tones and lines, overall the subject is a little uninteresting. It would make for a great background. |
