Pearl Diver Turned Mermaid (Tribute)by senor_kasperComment: Reminds me of this image: [thumb]78509[/thumb]. Nicely done, although her left arm is oddly stiff, especially considering she's underwater. Would also have liked to see some bubbles from her nose or mouth to complete the illusion. |

Aquamanby JamesAComment: Beautiful image. Love the swimming in air concept, and the gorgeous beams. Not quite underwater, not quite mid-air. Nice. |

Hi, I wanna be a modelby MiepComment: The look on the face of the middle guy is priceless. Great idea, although I wish the lighting would have been made to more closely match the environment he's in. |

Centauraby PaulComment: Overall, this image is very captivating. The lighting and the colors all work very well and create the illusion of the creature actually being in that place. But I have some issues with the composition. The main tree looks like it is blocking the scene rather than being a part of it. And the creature is also a bit odd. I think the fact that we can still make out her legs is a bit creepy, as it puts her, um, special area right in the center of the creature's chest. I think merging her at or just above the bellybutton would have eliminated this issue for me. But hey, it's your creature :-) |

Ganeshaby dougi555Comment: VERY nicely done. Love the background tones, and the image on it adds to the overall appeal of this capture. Could also have worked in the dof challenge :-) |

A Matter of Life and Death by gyabanComment: Oh, classic. This is a professional job. Lighting direction has been carefully maintained, as has the tonal changes throughout the image. Front page. |
