Like Venus emerging from the --- No, wait. Like Jacqueline Sparrow emerging from the... Fun image, although I find the flash lighting a bit overpowering, making her look unnatural in that setting. About 20 minutes earlier and the sky would have been brighter, and the effect would have been better balanced.

Glorious!!!! How incredibly beautiful and well-suited to the challenge. My only nit is that I'd have cropped off the dark portion of the sky and made this a less square composition. I think the darkness draws my eye there, and away from the ship, but it isn't rewarded by anything when I get there.

This is almost so incredibly good. The pov, the lighting, the fog, the lantern. I can't put my finger on it. Perhaps the image is too noisy, and the lit areas are a bit murky? Maybe it's the reddish tone of the image, or a lack of contrast. I can't diagnose it.

This is a gorgeous abstract, the tones and b/w conversion are stellar. But it's hard for me to make this out as "piraty" other than the "booty" image on whatever those are.

Incredible clarity. The lens distortion adds an otherworldly dimension to this image. Love the soft colors, which also add to that dream feeling.

Incredible eye. For me, there is a timidity about the processing here. It's a bit grungy, and a bit contrasty, and a bit acidy, but doesn't fully commit to any of these to create a "pop" factor. The tight crop I can live with (although a bit of breathing room might have helped). Of course, a super tight crop with just the eyes and the nose might also have been interesting.
