I'm glad I've got one of your images because I think you have a great potential =).

Composition: The tacks have a nice random order, with is interesting to the eye. I think this image would be a little more pleasing if you had a little larger crop to placed the central focus (the tacks) in a rule of thirds intersection. The background you've used is quite interesting too, though I wish it was more colored to true white then it is now. One idea: if you tried a lower angle shot, focused on one of the tacks and maximized the reflection there.

Technical: The first thing that shouts at me is image size. With the camera you have, cropping is not a problem for image size, even if the crop is a very small part of the original. I really like seeing images at the full size of 640 to see all the detail of the image. The image also seems a bit off color, and a tad dark.

Overall: I like the idea, I like the image, but I think with a little more practice/training it could be superb.

Although it is the strong point of the image, the rest of the image is similar enough to it that it doesn't seem that minimal. Nice coloration and lighting, cool setup.

This is a sweet angle you found! I like: the ripples emitting from the bottom of the image, the trail of the boat, the beautiful colors. Looks to me af if the boat is a little overexposed, but that is minor.

Nice evening/morning lighting on this. It seem that the image has been squeezed together verticaly (like someone put their hands on either side of the image and pushed it in a little bit). Fits the challenge quite well.
