I really like this shot! I attempted to do something like this for my entry but was unsuccessful with my attempt. This pier looks awesome too. Well done! One thing that sort of bothers me though is that I wish that you were a bit closer to the first set of pylons. (sort of a risk factor with the water near your camera though so I would understand you not getting out there any deeper).

This is really nice but I fear it won't do well because the colors (mainly on the tree) seem a bit flat. I think either bringing the colors out a lot with HDR or having the tree silhouetted.

I have a feeling that this will bomb... Not entirely sure how to fix it though. I think that this type of shot never has a "wow" factor to it which is unfortunate because they are almost as good as a self portrait!
