finem vitaeby mefnjComment: The tones & textures of a tomb. All that remains of some ancient myth. |

Queen by JulietNNComment: A big bloom. Noirish tones and the position of her head remind me of "The Bride of Frankenstein?. voted earlier |

Homeless by payambComment: The texture and tones of the skin and of course that eye are what this is all about. By placing that eye off center, you have provided a sense of imbalance I find disconcerting as if behind the half smile is a very complicated story. Penetrating character study. voted earlier |

When will it endby NeatComment: This is a quite strong amalgam of static and moving elements - in reverse. The person moving seems static while the background moves. Yes we know how it's done in photography but the knowledge doesn't diminish the mind-bending effect. One minor gripe: the excessive blank space on the right dilutes the overall impact. Black is like a black hole - it pulls and works against the otherwise wonderful compositional effect. |

white wall by LevTComment: Nice mix of fixed and transitory. Well timed comp. Good textures establish a properly flat plane with some tension provided by the diagonal boom of the shadow. voted earlier |

Anglingby wbanningComment: Quite nice - good interactions or not. Hardly an element that seems out of place or irrelevant. Could be a modern take on Norman Rockwell except this is much better. |

waiting for nothingby jagarComment: One of your best (if you are indeed the namesake of the 1960's American sci-fi actor). This has an organic feel I find so satisfying and complete - an observation of life and immutable history that draws us in with the hope of finding something they have given up on. Otherwise light and tones are typically well done, etc. 9 |
