My Life, My Love, My Familyby GilesComment: Cute little boy, I really like the lighting on this, it's good that he has catchlights in both eyes. I'm not sure about the composition though; since you can see how wrinkled and sagging the backdrop is, I don't see the point in having the boy off to one side to show that off. A more centred, closer shot of him might have been a better idea with that backdrop, or maybe next time just make sure the material is pulled tightly at all corners to elimate creases as much as possible. A nice shot overall. |

Unity in diversityby vamudhaComment: The lighting is a bit yellow for my tastes, it's a bit dull also; a more even, brighter light would have improved this I think and helped with sharpness. I'd have cropped out a wee bit too to keep the cap of the Nando's bottle in the shot. The idea made me smile though! |

Great Expectationsby hahn23Comment: I do like this classic idea and they are clearly a loving couple, although that harsh shadow from his face is distracting; a more even light spread would have been good, maybe a flashgun bounce. Placing them in front of a less busy background would have helped too. As it is, it's a bit snapshotty in my eyes. Nice to see one of these in colour for a change though. |

A Balancing Act by RobotBanjoComment: Very cool idea and very nicely shot, although this doesn't convey 'family' to me so much as 'acrobatics'! A different title may have helped, like 'supporting each other' for example. |

Christmas Card 2011by giantmikeComment: Rare to get perfect eye contact from the family pet, haha. This is a nice happy shot, it would indeed make a nice xmas card for friends and family. Good exposure, nice focus, it certainly portrays family. My only niggle would be that the main subjects are half-way down the shot, although I understand you wanted the tree in there too. A very nice image overall. |

Sweet Mollyby GuyzyComment: A teeny bit bright in places but very little detail lost as a result so that's Ok. Beautiful dog, nice composition, made me smile. I can't make out what the green thing is that's sitting on top of the middle wellies but I wish it wasn't there, since I can't make out what it is my eye is kinda going to it a bit more than it should. Plus, it's obscuring more of that lovely doggie; maybe that way the intent though with a white chest in such bright sun. |

Family lifeby jjbeguinComment: I'm wondering if this was shot underwater or through aquarium glass? I'm guessing glass, as the image is quite noisy and not very sharp. Overall it could do with brightening up and denoising, for me personally it's not a very interesting shot as it stands. Needs a defined point of focus. |

remember when - graduation capby flahermaComment: The bokeh on the material of the cap looks a little odd, as textured things sometimes do on a bokehd macro but the focus is very nice on the 2005 and the string. The gold stands out nicely but not too much against the black, white and grey shades. I don't think the title needed to tell us what your subject is, it's nice enough with the idea of recalling a proud family moment. |

Individualismby JudiComment: Great focus, lovely colours, the greens really pop. Lovely location too. Not sure I'm feeling the title with the shot; the photo does say family to me, I see a sister sitting with her younger brothers while they play, there is a familial feel to it (and I understand there are individuals in every family) but I don't personally think it goes. |
