The Sister cAtby ArjComment: Absolutely beautiful cats, lovely colouring. Nice sharpness and bokeh in the shot. The very similar markings/colour of these kitties makes it believeable to me that they are siblings. Lovely shot overall, though the highlights/midtones being bumped a little to brighten the shot a wee bit would have been good. |

Tender Affectionby KristinaGComment: This is very sweet, a good interpretation since elephants are known for their familial affection and the great care they take of each other. It bothers me a little that the bottom half light is blown out and the top half is jet black, makes it look a bit odd; nice and sharp though and generally, I like this. |

In Every Family Toy Boxby fngood83Comment: Nice and bright, great bold colours and nicely crisp overall. Niggles - the shot doesn't convey family to me at all without the title, plus that line where the light hits the edge of whatever they're sitting on is a bit distracting. |

Sisters Twixt Slatsby upturnedfaceComment: This doesn't portray family for me very well, too much of the subject is obscured by the wooden slats. Were it taken from the other side, it could have been a cute shot of a couple of kids playing/exploring or whatever, which might have put me in mind of sisterly fun. This angle simply doesn't make the shot very interesting, for me personally. |

Share this with himby tonywanComment: I like the idea, cute kid and the candlelight looks great. My two niggles would be that his hand being out of focus is a bit distracting and the candles look like they're only in a slice of cake, which makes the scene appear a bit false. It may have been set-up for the challenge but a whole cake would have better furthered the illusion. Overall, I do like it, a nice sweet shot. |

When They Were Youngby banmornComment: I don't normally like sepia, although it works for this shot and the title works well with the image. Those white flowers(?) above the frame on the right grab my eye a bit, I'd have moved those out of the shot before taking it. Is the desk in front of a window screen? The marks on it are a little bit distracting but at the same time, they kind of go with the old-timey feel. |

the coopby nick_hinchComment: Nice setting and colours, good exposure in the sunglight, nice sharpness on the trees and the little one on the grass; however, the OOF child in the foreground totally grabs my attention away from everything else, which I don't find to be a good thing since she's not in focus (my brain says the main thing in the photo should be in focus, lol.) |

Family Dinnerby hannahfowlkesComment: A nicely different take on the challenge, I like the angle too, although I'd have liked to see a shallower DOF to blur the busy window in the background a bit more. |

A family photo frameby hajekaComment: The reflection on the lower half of the 'negative' is a bit annoying as it makes the individual images look partially cloudy but overall, a cool and clever image. |
